Longevity and Resale
No liner replacements ever, not for you and not for the person who considers buying your home, if you decide to sell, a few years from now. The same benefits of fiberglass that you will enjoy will be passed on to the next owner of your home, not a maintenance liability. Liner warranties only cover seam failure (not tears, punctures or fading), are pro-rated (typically less than 50% of the cost of the liner only at year 6), and do not cover labor to install. The average liner replacement will cost from $1800 to $3500 depending on the size of pool and what damage was caused at the time the liner failed. Unlike a printed or painted tile pattern Ceramic tiles, applied with space industry silicone adhesives, do not fade and will look every bit as good in 10 years as they did the first year they were installed.
No acid washing, no re-plastering or re-painting, as with concrete, gunite or composite type pools. This must usually be done every 3-5 years at a cost of $1,800 to $3,500. Seamless all-fiberglass construction eliminates areas for leaks to occur and does not require periodic re-caulking or even patching down the road.
